Online entertainment I have used within the last 3 months are:
Recently I have used MSN which is like an online personal chat room in which you can only speak to your friends, so it is reasonable safe, but understandably the person who you wish to talk to must be logged on.
Watched video's on Youtube, this site is very good as it is user friendly and you can watch videos; legally, for free! This site is a great way to see new film adverts or new songs in which you wish to purchase at a later date.
Virgin on Demand is a very useful service which gives you the opertunity to watch TV shows or even films which you have missed. Its is also pretty nifty because you can rewind and pause it so you never miss a thing.
Also played World of Warcraft recently, but has been put aside for work at the moment. Its a Mass Multyplayer Online Role Playing Game in which millions of people play in an alternate world and can interact with one another.
These kinds of services are aimed at people from early teens to mid to late twently's, because they are mostly new technology and the younger generation are more likely to embrace it, although there are blatently some older people who do too. And most people not matter what the ages use TV on Demand.
These services are not enhanced by being online, most of them need to be online to serve thier pupose. Obviously WoW could be used as a Single player but it would be pretty dull.
Limitations of the services if concerning a computer, internet speeds can be a major issue, especially if downloading films.
The services overall fulfill thier potential to a large extent because all of them have such a large usage, globally.
