Discussion - The Success of Wireless Technology

Why is wireless technology sucessfull solution to the digital divide?

Which of the problems that causes the digital divide does it overcome?

Does the growth in avaliable wireless technology have a clear social, economic, educational and cultural benefits for the society involved?

Via setting up some form of wireless technology, the need for wires to an internet connection will be illiminated, therefor it will aid Less developed countries in speeding up thier progress in the fight to bridge the digital divide.

The problems that causes the digital divide it will overcome are the fact that no infrastructure is needed, and the stage that wireless is at the moment, not long from now, i'm sure the need for a plug-in will be extinguished.

Social aspects of wireless technology will be effected and show a clear change because it will allow people from other sides of the world to communicate to a much better standard and in a faster time. The economica grouth will be effected by wireless technology in a positive way once again, this is because businesses can speed up and improve business transactions that are done using the internet. The educational advantage is there will be a world opened up to for example a class room, that was never there before, there are millions of educational websites on the internet today, also there are websites that have courses available, so you could even get and offical education from it! Wireless technology will improve the the cultural aspect of a society because whole comminuities will be able to go online together on 'MSN' for example without leaving thier homes.
