The company claims that nearly 78% of teens in the US are ticketed or crash by the time they are 18. Among other services, the Teen Arrive Alive organisation offers GPS tracking of teenagers to parents who may be worried if their child is late, missing, lost, abducted or not driving very well. Using a cell phone and GPS technology, parents can track their child's driving in real time. The route shows up on a digital map showing the speed travelled.
Research the website and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of this use of technology to "protect" teenagers
Advantages of the service are that the parent of the teenagers know exactly what happens to thier children, also it might allow more teenagers to use a thrid party insurance method whereby the parent allow their siblings to join their insurance.
Disadvantages include to suffication of personal space, and after this no one will know where to draw the line, for example there could be not so far into the future actual tracking systems for indiviuals.
